We moved to Charleston in February, booked our venue on March 25 and got married on June 20. It is entirely possible to pull off a successful event without years of planning. However I do feel that if I had had more time, I would have taken on some additional DIY projects to help eliminate costs. I am thrilled with the job that all of our vendors did, but looking back, feel that I could have definitely saved some money if I had had more time to research options/add some DIY. Just my 20/20 hindsight!:)
